Photo Shoot - Ryan Demon Bus! Full Hydraulic Suspension

Ryan , a fabricator and ultimately master at his craft created this bus from a shell that was pulled from the deserts of Texas. Shot out windows and bullet holes still in the body. The point was to leave it as it looked and build around that.. What you can’t see are the Corvette disc brakes, Rack and pinion steering , Custom in house designed hydraulic suspenion system that maintains the factry ride and spring rate * at any height! *. They hydraulic cylinders are mounted inline with the torsion bars and turn them to raise and lower. Where ever the hydraulics stop it locks everything in and your riding on the stock torsions. This is the same with the front beam same idea. This bus was basically the prototype for the kit now available. We used my Karmann Ghia ( Gulf Ghia ) to produce the production kit for type 1 VW’s but I will get into that another time , perhaps i’ll do a feature on my car & in depth details about it.

Notice the spiral staircase a joke that turned into a real thing.. They even fold up! Open and closed they lock into position. It’s pretty amazing & hillarious!
